Need a boost going into the weekend? Everyone needs to be fortified at some point along their writing journey. Fridays are set aside at Seriously Write to offer encouragement—through Dawn’s articles/devotions or guest authors sharing personal journeys to publication.

The One Year Life Verse Devotional contains stories of well-known authors and speakers, athletes and entertainers. They share how one verse has impacted their life and role in God's plan.
Dawn’s own life verse and story is included …
The written word is powerful. It can comfort, challenge, and inspire. It can make us laugh and bring us to tears. It can teach, take us on an adventure, and help us dream.
The written word is tangible. People can take it with them wherever they go. They can read your words when they need a chuckle, an escape, or a pick-me-up during a hard day.
But even skilled writers often need a little help in bringing out the best in their work. Once it’s in print and shared with the public, it’s too late to make changes.
As writers, we become attached to our stories and characters. It can be difficult to have our hard work evaluated. Although I promise to be honest, I also promise to treat you and your work with respect. My desire is to partner with you in achieving satisfying results and build an ongoing, professional relationship.

“Writing with Dawn is fun. She warmly removes the speed bumps of fear and uncertainty that can prevent many of us from putting pen to paper. Each time her edits and recommendations were returned to me, I found myself entirely excited to continue writing." ~ Rick Marske, Author of “Angel on Ice”
